French Horn Fingering Chart

As the name indicates, humans originally blew on the actual horns of animals before imitating naturally occurring horns with metal horns.

Early horns were commonly pitched in Bâ™ alto, A, Aâ™, G, F, E, Eâ™, D, C, and Bâ™ basso. Since the only notes available were those on the harmonic series of one of those pitches, horn players had no ability to play in different keys.

We have shared the complete Fingering Chart for all keys of the French Horn.
