The purpose of the planAs per Government Resolution dated 6.09.2019 through other Bahujan Welfare Departments, the amount is distributed directly to the Tribal Development Departments in the State in their Aadhaar-affiliated accounts. Under this scheme, the students are admitted to educational institutions at the Municipal Corporation, Divisional Cities, and District levels. The students of the tribe are given accommodation allowance as well as financial assistance as prescribed for the provision of educational materials. Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay Swayam Yojana has been implemented for the students of Dhangar Samaj like the Tribal Development Department so that the students of Dhangar Samaj in the Nomadic Tribe-C category are not deprived of residential and educational facilities.
How to ApplyThe application in the prescribed form should be completed and submitted to the Assistant Commissioner, Social Welfare.
Required documents1) Application
2) Bonafide certificate of college
3) Caste validity certificate
4) Certificate of residency in Maharashtra
5) Certificate of being disabled
6) Photocopy of bank account books
7) Certificate of Income (Father / Mother)
8) Marks of 12th or degree examination
9) Bank account attached to Aadhaar number
10) Affidavit that the student has not been admitted to the hostel
11) Certificate of not being a local resident
12) Evidence of where the student resides (e.g. private hostel, rental agreement etc.)
13) College Attendance Certificate
14) Copy of result of session examination
Eligibility Criteria of the Scheme1) The student should be pursuing higher education after 12th standard.
2) Students are required to have 60% marks in 12th standard for this scheme.
3) The income of the parents of the students should not exceed 2.50 lakhs. Also, the income limit for post-matric scholarships will be increased by the Central Government at any time. Accordingly, the annual income limit of the parents for this scheme will remain the same.
4) It is mandatory for the student to attach his / her Aadhar number to the account in which the account has been opened in the nationalized / scheduled bank.
5) Students should be from Dhangar community to avail the benefits of this scheme. It will be mandatory for the student to submit the caste validity certificate along with the application.
6) Benefit will be given under this scheme to the students admitted for the course fixed for Central Government Post Matric Scholarship. However, the scheme will not be available for courses of less than two years duration.
7) After availing the benefit of this scheme for a degree or postgraduate course in one branch, the benefit of this scheme will not be admissible to the students who are again admitted for the degree or postgraduate course in another branch.
8) The student should have got admission in the recognized college / institution and for the approved course through Akhil Bharatiya Tantrashikshan Parishad, Akhil Bharatiya Vaidyak Parishad, Bharatiya Pharmacy Parishad, Vastukala Parishad, State Government or similar institutes etc.
9) In order to avail the benefits under the scheme, the concerned students should have got admission in the colleges of recognized technical education after class 12th as well as business education courses through centralized admission process.
10) It will be mandatory for students to have 60% college attendance to avail the benefits under the scheme.
11) It will be mandatory for the student to pass the examination of the respective courses every year.
12) The maximum age of the student to avail the benefit of this scheme should not be more than 28 years.
13) Students should not be doing any kind of job or business.
