Toll Tax Exemption List
The User Fee (Toll) at a Fee (Toll) plaza is collected from users of the NH Section on crossing the fee plaza. The User Fee rates at a particular plaza are governed by the applicable NH Fee Rules notified by the Government of India and the stipulations of the concession agreement with respect to the particular fee plaza, in case of BOT (Toll) projects.

5. The Chief Justice of India;
6. The Speaker of the House of People;
7. The Cabinet Minister of the Union;
8. The Chief Minister of a State;
9. The Judge of the Supreme Court;
10. The Minister of State of the Union;
11. The Lieutenant Governor of a Union territory;
12. The Chief of Staff holding the rank of full General or equivalent 12 rank;
13. The Chairman of the Legislative Council of a State;
14. The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of a State;
15. The Chief Justice of a High Court; The Judge of a High Court;
16. The Member of Parliament;
17. The Army Commander or Vice-Chief of Army Staff and equivalent in 18 other services;
18. The Chief Secretary to a State Government within a concerned State;
19. The Secretary to the Government of India; The Secretary, Council of States;
20. The Secretary, House of People;
21. The Foreign dignitary on a State visit;
22. The Member of the Legislative Assembly of a State and the Member of 24 Legislative Councils of a State within their respective State, if he or she produces his or her identity card issued by the concerned Legislature of the State;
23. The awardee of Pram Vir Chakra, Ashok Chakra, Maha Vir Chakra, Kirti 25 Chakra, Vir Chakra, and Shaurya Chakra, if such awardee produces his or her photo identity card duly authenticated by the appropriate or competent authority for such award;
b) Used for official purposes
1. The Ministry of Defense including those which are eligible for exemption 27 in accordance with the provisions of the Indian Toll (Army and Air Force) Act, 1901and rules made there under, as extended to the Navy also;
2. The Central and State armed forces in uniform including Paramilitary 28 forces and police;
3. An Executive Magistrate;
4. The fire-fighting Department or organization;
5. The National Highway Authority of India or any other Government 31 organization using such vehicle for inspection, survey, construction, or operation of national highways and the maintenance thereof;
6. Used as an ambulance; and Used as a funeral van
7. Mechanical vehicles specially designed and constructed for the use of 34 a person suffering from physical disability.Â
